I work as a Senior Systems Engineer for Siemens ITS. I have been with the Company since 1986. We are the IT service arm of Siemens Business Services within the Siemens group. My job involves travelling around the North & East of Scotland carrying out hardware repairs to the various type of computer systems and peripherials my company supports. This includes a wide range of products by different manufacturers. Anything goes really and because of my location, geographically, I have to support everything from PC's to EPOS at one end to larger Unix mini's and Servers at the other. My hobbies are Boys Brigade, Formula 1, Genealogy & web design. |

Although the Boys' Brigade was officially formed on 4th October 1883 but I have only been a part of it since about 1970. I went to the Junior and Company sections as a boy then drifted away from it while at college. I went back as an officer after a chance meeting in 1990 and have been fully involved ever since. I took charge of the Company in 1999 as Captain and its been a challenging and busy time ever since. Our Company, the 44th Aberdeen , based at Mannofield Church also have a home page on the Web which you can also visit to find out more about our Company, if you haven't been to it already. |
