UNDERNEATH THE MAKEUP - ROY STEWART & MIKE GRAY OUTSIDE MY PARENTS HOUSE BEFORE SETTING OFF TO THE ART SCHOOL REVELS

One of the reasons I first decided to go to Art School was the Revels - an annual fancy dress ball which died out years ago.  Art student life seemed an attractive, colourful and fun existence(no doubt aided by the effects of various soft drinks etc) - to an impressionable young lad. Blow the grant on beer, do an occasional sketch and generally scive off. So when people ask me  - did you go to Art School Dod? The answer is "No I stayed in bed mostly! " My mistake of course - its taken me until my mid forties to get any work done.
