John Porter is our local Gordon Conservative candidate. He was born on the 15 December 1931 making him 66 years old. John was educated at Gordon Schools, Huntly and Aberdeen Central School before becoming a Corporate Finance Consultant and Company Director. He was the Parliamentary Candidate for the Gordon constituency in the 1992 General Election also.
From the CV of John Porter, it is obvious that he is involved in a wide variety of committees and holds positions of responsibility in many areas. Mr Porter is a member of the Policy, Education, Finance and Development and Planning Committees of Grampian Regional Council. He is also a Justice of the Peace, Burgess of the city of Aberdeen, Governor of Oak Bank School and a Past Chairman of Aberdeen 100 Round Table.
