Information Technology Hardware does not just mean things to do with computers. There are other pieces of hardware which we use in our everyday lives which are concerned with PASSING ON (or COMMUNICATING) INFORMATION.

These devices can be used to communicate information. We might record information for someone else to listen to or we might listen to information recorded by someone else.
Tape Recorder Can be used by a group of people to listen to MUSIC, RECORDED MESSAGES and TALKING BOOKS.
Could be found at home, in the local library or in school.
Personal Stereo Can be used by one person to listen to MUSIC, RECORDED MESSAGESand TALKING BOOKS.
Usually carried and used by one person. It is easier to carry than a tape recorder and is useful when traveling or on holiday.
Can be used by one or more people to listen to MUSIC, RECORDED MESSAGES and TALKING BOOKS.
Can be found in language rooms in schools, in libraries, music shops, some zoos and exhibitions.
