Information Technology Hardware does not just mean things to do with computers. There are other pieces of hardware which we use in our everyday lives.
Some of these you will already know:-
Used to record television programs such as films, nature programmes and educational programmes. The video recorder can also be used as a play back machine to view the recordings at a later date. As well as simply viewing, stills can be shown on the TV screen and parts of the recording can be viewed in slow motion. One advantage of watching educational materials is that the video recorder's facilities will allow you to rewind and watch parts of the recording time and time again.
This can be used by people with little or no training to record moving images for personal, for educational use or to review something at a later date. For example, some police cars use them to record car chases and provide evidence of cars driving over the speed limit. The fire service may use them to record firemen fighting a fire. This can be looked at later to find out how well the job was carried out and to work out if a better way can be found to fight a similar type of fire.
