JJ stands for James John and he was born under the zodiac sign of Libra. There apparently is a bit more to this story though ...

J J's mother and (American) father lived in Texas. They were on holiday in Epping (UK) when J J was born - so technically he's a dual citizen. At some point after the holiday, during the oil boom, J J's parents moved to Stonehaven hence J J only spent a few young years in the USA.

Education

Mackie Academy, Aberdeen University, Northern College TV Presenter's Course.

First music lessons at age 9. Now musically trained to Grade 6 of the London Trinity College certification levels.

Inspiration

J J has been a huge fan of Elvis since very young ... something to do with slick hair, hip wiggles, lip curls and girls. He visited Elvis's home, "Graceland" in Memphis, Tennessee in 1982 and played guitar & drums in the famous Sun Studios.

Performing

J J has been performing full time since June 1996.

Motivations
